Emmanuel Acquah - Co-Founder & CEO
Emmanuel is a distinguished intellectual entrepreneur and advocate for economic freedom, serving as the Co-founder and CEO of the Africa Centre for Entrepreneurship and Youth Empowerment (ACEYE), a leading policy think tank dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and free markets across Africa. He is also the co-curator of the Regional Entrepreneurship Freedom Index in Ghana, a vital initiative assessing policies conducive to entrepreneurial activity.
With extensive experience in business consulting, Emmanuel has collaborated with UK charities Challenges Worldwide and International Service, implementing local income development programs in Accra and Tamale, Ghana. He has also held key roles, including as a Business Associate at Kumasi Hive and most recently as Business Head for Africa Business Bureau, a prominent business incubator and co-working space. Emmanuel has worked with over 2,800 entrepreneurs through both state and private vehicles.
As a dynamic public speaker, Emmanuel actively promotes effective leadership, economic freedom, and youth participation as catalysts for Africa’s transformation. His thought-provoking policy analysis has garnered attention from in-country media outlets, providing valuable insights for policy initiation and reforms. Emmanuel is also an accomplished author, having penned four books including “Manifestos: Rewards and Punishments” and contributed to publications such as “The Future of Think Tanks and Policy Advice Around the World”.
Emmanuel’s commitment to leadership and advocacy extends to his involvement in various committees, including his role as Vice Chairperson of the World University Service of Canada (WUSC) IGNI+E Program Advisory Committee (PAC) in Ghana. He is a Don Lavoie Fellow at the Mercatus Center of George Mason University and has been recognized for his advocacy efforts and leadership qualities, being shortlisted for the Humanitarian Global Awards in 2022, One of 60 Young Achievers in 2017, and selected as one of the rising young leaders globally at the WUSC International Seminar.
Furthermore, Emmanuel holds memberships with prestigious organizations such as the Chartered Management Institute (UK) and its affiliate, the Institute of Consulting (UK). He is a Chartered Manager with recognition from the Chartered Management Institute (UK).
